Paris Saint-Germain have absolutely no intention of selling
midfielder Blaise Matuidi this summer according to club chairman Nasser
Al-Khelaifi.
After completing the signing of striker Jese Rodriguez from Real
Madrid, Al-Khelaifi confirmed that PSG’s activity in the transfer window
was over, both incoming and outgoing.
Matuidi had been linked with a move to Juventus as the Italian giants
look to act quickly in signing a replacement for the departed Paul
Pogba, who has joined Manchester United.
Al-Khelaifi will not entertain the idea of the France international
leaving, though, and told reporters: “The transfer window is over for
me. Matuidi is under contract with us and we have a very good
relationship. We have not discussed losing Matuidi who is a pillar of
the team.”
